"For it is not he who commends himself who is approved, but rather he whom God commends. "
— 2 Corinthians 10:18, Catholic Public Domain Version
“For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. ”
“For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. ”
“For it isn't he who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends.”
“For it is not the person who commends himself who is approved, but the person the Lord commends.”
“For not he who commendeth himself is approved: but he, whom God commendeth. ”
“For the Lord's approval of a man is not dependent on his opinion of himself, but on the Lord's opinion of him.”
“For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. ”
We are not glorying immeasurably over the labors of others. Instead, we hold on to the hope of your growing faith, so as to be magnified in you, according to our own limits, but in abundance,
and even so as to evangelize in those places that are beyond you, not in order to glory in the measure of others, but rather in those things which have already been prepared.
But whoever glories, let him glory in the Lord.
For it is not he who commends himself who is approved, but rather he whom God commends.
