NASB
"The high places, however, were not removed; the people had not yet directed their hearts to the God of their fathers."
— 2 Chronicles 20:33, NASB
“Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.”
“Howbeit the high places were not taken away; neither as yet had the people set their hearts unto the God of their fathers. ”
“However the high places were not taken away; neither as yet had the people set their hearts to the God of their fathers.”
“However, the high places were not eliminated; the people were still not devoted to the God of their ancestors.”
“But yet he took not away the high places, and the people had not yet turned their heart to the Lord the God of their fathers.”
“The high places, however, were not taken away, and the hearts of the people were still not true to the God of their fathers.”
“Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.”
So the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God gave him rest on all sides.
Now Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah. He was thirty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-five years. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.
He walked in the way of his father Asa and did not depart from it, doing right in the sight of the LORD.
The high places, however, were not removed; the people had not yet directed their hearts to the God of their fathers.
Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first to last, behold, they are written in the annals of Jehu the son of Hanani, which is recorded in the Book of the Kings of Israel.
After this Jehoshaphat king of Judah allied himself with Ahaziah king of Israel. He acted wickedly in so doing.
So he allied himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish, and they made the ships in Ezion-geber.
