— 1 John 4:16, Catholic Public Domain Version
“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
“And we know and have believed the love which God hath in us. God is love; and he that abideth in love abideth in God, and God abideth in him. ”
“We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.”
“And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has in us. God is love, and the one who resides in love resides in God, and God resides in him.”
“And we have known and have believed the charity which God hath to us. God is charity: and he that abideth in charity abideth in God, and God in him.”
“And we have seen and had faith in the love which God has for us. God is love, and everyone who has love is in God, and God is in him.”
“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
In this way, we know that we abide in him, and he in us: because he has given to us from his Spirit.
And we have seen, and we testify, that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love. And he who abides in love, abides in God, and God in him.
In this way, the love of God is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence on the day of judgment. For as he is, so also are we, in this world.
Fear is not in love. Instead, perfect love casts out fear, for fear pertains to punishment. And whoever fears is not perfected in love.
Therefore, let us love God, for God first loved us.
