"For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. And so it has been written: “I will catch the wise in their own astuteness.” "
— 1 Corinthians 3:19, Catholic Public Domain Version
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.”
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He that taketh the wise in their craftiness: ”
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, "He has taken the wise in their craftiness."”
“For the wisdom of this age is foolishness with God. As it is written,“He catches the wise in their craftiness.””
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written: I will catch the wise in their own craftiness.”
“For the wisdom of this world is foolish before God. As it is said in the holy Writings, He who takes the wise in their secret designs:”
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.”
Do you not know that you are the Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God lives within you?
But if anyone violates the Temple of God, God will destroy him. For the Temple of God is holy, and you are that Temple.
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become foolish, so that he may be truly wise.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. And so it has been written: “I will catch the wise in their own astuteness.”
And again: “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.”
And so, let no one glory in men.
For all is yours: whether Paul, or Apollo, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or the present, or the future. Yes, all is yours.
