American King James Version
" LORD, why cast you off my soul? why hide you your face from me? "
— Psalms 88:14, American King James Version
“Lord, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me?”
“Jehovah, why castest thou off my soul? Why hidest thou thy face from me? ”
“Yahweh, why do you reject my soul? Why do you hide your face from me?”
“O LORD, why do you reject me, and pay no attention to me?”
“Thy arm is with might. Let thy hand be strengthened, and thy right hand exalted:”
“Lord, why have you sent away my soul? why is your face covered from me?”
“Lord, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me?”
Shall your loving kindness be declared in the grave? or your faithfulness in destruction?
Shall your wonders be known in the dark? and your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
But to you have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent you.
LORD, why cast you off my soul? why hide you your face from me?
I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer your terrors I am distracted.
Your fierce wrath goes over me; your terrors have cut me off.
They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together.
