"So, truly, they intended to reject my price. I ran in thirst. They blessed with their mouth and cursed with their heart. "
— Psalms 61:5, Catholic Public Domain Version
“For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.”
“For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: Thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name. ”
“For you, God, have heard my vows. You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.”
“For you, O God, hear my vows; you grant me the reward that belongs to your loyal followers.”
“But they have thought to cast away my price; I ran in thirst: they blessed with their mouth, but cursed with their heart.”
“For you, O God, have made answer to my prayers; you have given me the heritage of those who give honour to your name.”
“For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.”
Will my soul not be subject to God? For from him is my salvation.
Yes, he himself is my God and my salvation. He is my supporter; I will be moved no more.
How is it that you rush against a man? Every one of you puts to death, as if you were pulling down a ruined wall, leaning over and falling apart.
So, truly, they intended to reject my price. I ran in thirst. They blessed with their mouth and cursed with their heart.
Yet, truly, my soul will be subject to God. For from him is my patience.
For he is my God and my Savior. He is my helper; I will not be expelled.
In God is my salvation and my glory. He is the God of my help, and my hope is in God.
