— Psalms 50:22, Catholic Public Domain Version
“Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.”
“ Now consider this, ye that forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver: ”
“"Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you into pieces, and there be none to deliver.”
“Carefully consider this, you who reject God! Otherwise I will rip you to shreds and no one will be able to rescue you.”
“Now keep this in mind, you who have no memory of God, for fear that you may be crushed under my hand, with no one to give you help:”
“Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.”
A crushed spirit is a sacrifice to God. A contrite and humbled heart, O God, you will not spurn.
Act kindly, Lord, in your good will toward Zion, so that the walls of Jerusalem may be built up.
Then you will accept the sacrifice of justice, oblations, and holocausts. Then they will lay calves upon your altar.
