" O senseless Galatians, who has so fascinated you that you would not obey the truth, even though Jesus Christ has been presented before your eyes, crucified among you? "
— Galatians 3:1, Catholic Public Domain Version
“O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?”
“O foolish Galatians, who did bewitch you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth crucified? ”
“Foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you not to obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth among you as crucified?”
“Justification by Law or by Faith? You foolish Galatians! Who has cast a spell on you? Before your eyes Jesus Christ was vividly portrayed as crucified!”
“O senseless Galatians, who hath bewitched you that you should not obey the truth: before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been set forth, crucified among you?”
“O foolish Galatians, by what strange powers have you been tricked, to whom it was made clear that Jesus Christ was put to death on the cross?”
“O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?”
O senseless Galatians, who has so fascinated you that you would not obey the truth, even though Jesus Christ has been presented before your eyes, crucified among you?
I wish to know only this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Are you so foolish that, though you began with the Spirit, you would now end with the flesh?
Have you been suffering so much without a reason? If so, then it is in vain.
