"In him, we too are called to our portion, having been predestined in accord with the plan of the One who accomplishes all things by the counsel of his will. "
— Ephesians 1:11, Catholic Public Domain Version
“In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:”
“in whom also we were made a heritage, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his will; ”
“in whom also we were assigned an inheritance, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his will;”
“In Christ we too have been claimed as God’s own possession, since we were predestined according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his will”
“In whom we also are called by lot, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things according to the counsel of his will.”
“In whom we have a heritage, being marked out from the first in his purpose who does all things in agreement with his designs;”
“In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:”
which is superabundant in us, with all wisdom and prudence.
So does he make known to us the mystery of his will, which he has set forth in Christ, in a manner well-pleasing to him,
in the dispensation of the fullness of time, so as to renew in Christ everything that exists through him in heaven and on earth.
In him, we too are called to our portion, having been predestined in accord with the plan of the One who accomplishes all things by the counsel of his will.
So may we be, to the praise of his glory, we who have hoped beforehand in Christ.
In him, you also, after you heard and believed the Word of truth, which is the Gospel of your salvation, were sealed with the Holy Spirit of the Promise.
He is the pledge of our inheritance, unto the acquisition of redemption, to the praise of his glory.
