"How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! Jonathan is slain on your high places."
— 2 Samuel 1:25, World English Bible
“How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O Jonathan, thou wast slain in thine high places.”
“How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! Jonathan is slain upon thy high places. ”
“How the warriors have fallen in the midst of battle! Jonathan lies slain on your high places!”
“How are the valiant fallen in battle? Jonathan slain in the high places?”
“How have the great ones been made low in the fight! Jonathan is dead on your high places.”
“How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O Jonathan, thou wast slain in thine high places.”

How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! Jonathan is slain on your high places.
I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan. You have been very pleasant to me. Your love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.
