American King James Version
"As you know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father does his children, "
— 1 Thessalonians 2:11, American King James Version
“As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children,”
“as ye know how we dealt with each one of you, as a father with his own children, exhorting you, and encouraging you, and testifying, ”
“As you know, we exhorted, comforted, and implored every one of you, as a father does his own children,”
“As you know, we treated each one of you as a father treats his own children,”
“As you know in what manner, entreating and comforting you (as a father doth his children),”
“Even as you saw how, like a father with his children, we were teaching and comforting you all, and giving witness,”
“As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children,”

You are witnesses, and God also, how piously and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you that believe:
As you know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father does his children,
That you would walk worthy of God, who has called you to his kingdom and glory.
For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when you received the word of God which you heard of us, you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually works also in you that believe.
For you, brothers, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for you also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:
