American King James Version
"But Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother, he called not. ¶ "
— 1 Kings 1:10, American King James Version
“But Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother, he called not.”
“but Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother, he called not. ”
“but Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother, he didn't call.”
“But he did not invite Nathan the prophet, Benaiah, the elite warriors, or his brother Solomon.”
“But Nathan, the prophet, and Banaias, and all the valiant men, and Solomon, his brother, he invited not.”
“But he did not send for Nathan the prophet and Benaiah and the other men of war and Solomon his brother.”
“But Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother, he called not.”
And he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest: and they following Adonijah helped him.
But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men which belonged to David, were not with Adonijah.
And Adonijah slew sheep and oxen and fat cattle by the stone of Zoheleth, which is by Enrogel, and called all his brothers the king’s sons, and all the men of Judah the king’s servants:
But Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother, he called not. ¶
Why Nathan spoke to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Have you not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith does reign, and David our lord knows it not?
Now therefore come, let me, I pray you, give you counsel, that you may save your own life, and the life of your son Solomon.
Go and get you in to king David, and say to him, Did not you, my lord, O king, swear to your handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne? why then does Adonijah reign?
